Orioles to be among MLB teams using iPads in dugouts on Opening Day

After a successful pilot program at the end of last season across baseball, Orioles manager Buck Showalter said the team planned to use iPads in the dugout as resources to replace the mounds of paper scouting reports and matchup information that goes into decision-making during a game.

“We are using it,” he said. "We have them. They’re big. We’ve done the tutorial twice. Our guys that are real good at that have [explained it.
