Orioles third baseman Manny Machado wins second career Gold Glove award

Orioles third baseman Manny Machado capped the best overall season in his young career by winning his second career Gold Glove award on Tuesday evening.

Machado, 23, was named this year’s American League Gold Glove winner at third base, besting two multiple winners of the award – four-time winner Adrian Beltre of the Texas Rangers and two-time winner Evan Longoria of the Tampa Bay Rays.

After winning his first Gold Glove in his first full big league season in 2013, Machado has won the award in two of the past three seasons.
