Orioles swept away again in 4-1 loss to Twins

The season series with the Minnesota Twins is over. The Baltimore Orioles won’t see them again this year.

And thank God for that.

Given one last chance to figure out the Twins this season, the Orioles instead turned in another flat effort, falling short in a 4-1 decision that wrapped up Minnesota’s second sweep of the Birds in a week’s time.

The Orioles, who played without leading slugger Trey Mancini, finished the season series and fell to 0-6 against the Twins, and the mark is no accident as they could never put together enough phases of the game at one time to beat manager Rocco Baldelli’s club, albeit a good one at 16-9.
