There are several developments today regarding sports betting in Maryland.
The Orioles announcing a partnership with Super Book Sports, which, pending approval by the state sports wagering commission will allow the company to set up a sports betting lounge in Camden Yards, which is scheduled to open next year.
Meantime, the sports wagering commission approved the license of Washington Commanders' owner Dan Snyder to open a sports betting lounge at FedEx field, meaning it will open in time for the NFL season to start next month.
Online betting though will not be in place in time for the start of the NFL season, as the commission announced a 45-day review process for applications, but they won't start the review until a state legislative panel approves regulations for online betting operators.
