Orioles series opener in Minnesota postponed, to be made up on July 28

The opener of the Orioles’ three-game series against the Minnesota Twins on Monday night was postponed due to rain, which solves the team’s biggest dilemma this week – finding a starter for Wednesday’s final game in Minnesota.

The Orioles will pay later. They will have to return to Minneapolis on July 28 to play the Twins on a common off day before a three-game series in Toronto, the second off day they’ve lost already this season.

But in the short term, it allows the Orioles to find a starter for Wednesday without getting overly creative.
