Right-hander Tyler Wilson won’t have many more opportunities to show the Orioles he deserves an Opening Day roster spot, but he did nothing to hurt his chances in the team's Grapefruit League game Thursday against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Ed Smith Stadium.
Despite allowing a solo homer to Matt Joyce with two outs in the first inning, Wilson allowed just one run over three innings, retiring the final seven batters he faced – six of them on groundouts.
“I felt good," Wilson said. “I had to find the bottom of the zone a little bit early.
