Fresh off a career year that resulted in a rare All-Star Game appearance for a middle reliever, Orioles set-up man Brad Brach got a veteran perk for the first time this spring.
He got to make his own schedule. The problem is, he doesn’t want to know when he’s scheduled to pitch.
“This was the first year I got to sit down with the coaches,” Brach said. “They kind of asked me, but went through how the process is, when to decide your days. [Pitching coach Roger McDowell] kind of told me, you’ve been around long enough.
