The Baltimore Orioles activated left-handed pitcher John Means from the 60-day injured list. He will make his 2023 season debut on Tuesday when the team hosts the St. Louis Cardinals.
Means, 30, last played for the Orioles nearly 17 months ago. He suffered a ulnar collateral ligament tear on his left elbow during a matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers on April 13, 2022.
Means underwent Tommy John surgery to repair the UCL. The surgery forced him to miss the remainder of the 2022 season.
Means was projected to return in July or August 2023.
