The Orioles and Red Sox meet today to start a three-game series at Camden Yards, the first between the two teams this season. It’s been nice not facing the Red Sox yet this year, hasn’t it?
With an 8-12 record, the Red Sox are just 1.5 games ahead of the Orioles in the A.L. East. That’s probably not what the team expected to be, even this early in the season. They’ve spent the last week-plus playing division rivals, first going 1-2 against the Blue Jays at home, then started their road trip losing two of three to the Rays and three of four to the Jays.
