Mike Wright was on his way to giving the Orioles one of their best starting-pitching performances of the season Sunday afternoon, holding the Kansas City Royals to a pair of solo homers through six innings, but his strong outing unraveled in the seventh inning as the Orioles dropped their rubber match at Kauffman Stadium, 6-1.Wright was chased from the game four batters into a four-run seventh and ultimately was charged with five runs on eight hits over 6 1/3 innings.For most of the afternoon, Wright pitched far better than his pitching line would indicate.
