Orioles recap: Birds slip to third place with rain-shortened 8-1 loss to Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox brought their thunder along with them when they arrived in Baltimore earlier this week. But it was Mother Nature that provided the lightning and heavy rain that cut Wednesday night's game short and sent them on their way after a two-game sweep of the Orioles at Camden Yards.

The Sox lineup was reading from the same script as the night before, blasting a pair of home runs and getting a solid performance from pitching ace David Price to score a six-inning 8-1 victory that pushed the Orioles into third place in the American League East.
