Another one of Dan Duquette's offseason bets has been permanently stamped with failure. There will always be another. The Orioles recalled outfielder Junior Lake, recently acquired in the Tommy Hunter trade, from Norfolk. In the process, they sent Travis Snider to the great DFA in the sky.
Snider, acquired in the offseason in exchange for minor league lefties Steven Brault and Stephen Tarpley, had a good first series of the season and basically nothing went his way after that.
