Chris Lee has had better days. The starting pitcher for the Tides lasted just 2 2⁄3 innings with eight runs allowed. Ouch. He gave up six hits, three of which were home runs, and two walks in the losing effort. The only Tides pitcher not to give up runs on the day was probable-future-Oriole Edwin Jackson, who pitched 1 2⁄3 scoreless.
The Tides had ten hits in the game but all four runs scored via home run. Pedro Alvarez, Johnny Giavotella, and Francisco Pena all hit dingers for the good guys, but it wasn’t even close to enough.
