The Tides started off their season getting their butts beaten in by the Knights. At least for Saturday, the tables were turned a little bit. The Orioles swiped Alec Asher for the big league start, meaning four Norfolk pitchers, starting with surprise starter Zach Stewart needed to combine for a five hit shutout in which they struck out ten Charlotte batters.
Catcher Chance Sisco collected three of the twelve Norfolk hits, one of which was a double. He also drew a walk and scored three of their runs. More importantly for Sisco, the lone attempted base-stealer on him was thrown out in the attempt.
