Pedro Alvarez, who on Friday is starting for the third time this spring at first base, will also see time over the final week of Grapefruit League play at third base, manager Buck Showalter said.
Showalter said this week that after spending Tuesday and Thursday at minor league camp across town at Twin Lakes Park, Alvarez will be a fixture in the Orioles’ lineup until camp breaks on Thursday. That's a welcome development for all parties.
“Pedro’s had really good at-bats down here off left-handed pitching,” Showalter said. “It’s been fun to watch.
