None have been better at producing during wins, and Mullins’ four-hit game in Tuesday night’s 13-3 Orioles victory over the Houston Astros (48-32) at Minute Maid Park that clinched a surprising series victory over the American League’s hottest team by its worst was no exception.
Mullins led the game off with a home run, hit a go-ahead double in the seventh inning to break a 3-3 tie and added an infield single to help extend the Orioles’ six-run eighth that broke the game open.
Entering Tuesday, no player who qualifies for the batting title was better in his team’s wins than Mullins.
