Orioles outfielder Mark Trumbo wins first career Silver Slugger award

Orioles outfielder Mark Trumbo won his second postseason award in as many days Thursday, receiving his first career Silver Slugger award.

Trumbo, who led the majors with 47 homers this past season, earned the Players Choice Award for American League Comeback Player of the Year on Wednesday.

In his first – and possibly only – season with the Orioles, the 30-year-old Trumbo set new career highs in nearly every offensive category, including homers, RBIs (108), slugging percentage (.533), runs (94), hits (157) and total bases (327).
