As the Orioles’ major league team slips further out of touch with the rest of the league this season, more attention will be paid to the next wave of top prospects who could be part of the team's successes going forward.
At least for the next week, top outfield prospects Austin Hays and DJ Stewart won't be part of that group. Each landed on the disabled list this week, with Hays dealing with an ankle injury and Stewart having suffered a hamstring problem over the weekend.
Hays, 22, last played Thursday and was placed on the disabled list Tuesday, retroactive to Saturday.
