The Baltimore Orioles on Saturday announced that they have optioned right-handed pitcher Grayson Rodriguez to Triple-A Norfolk.
Rodriguez, 23, pitched during Friday night's game against the Texas Rangers. In that matchup, Rodriguez allowed eight runs in 3.1 innings pitched.
Baltimore drafted Rodriguez in the first round of the 2018 draft. He made his first start of the season against the Rangers on April 5.
In other roster moves, the Orioles recalled left-hand pitcher Keegan Akin from Triple-A Norfolk.
