The Orioles made the expected move official this afternoon, recalling 25-year-old right-hander Tyler Wilson from Triple-A Norfolk.
Wilson will make the start tonight against the Oakland A’s. It will be his second big-league start and sixth appearance overall for the Orioles.
A University of Virginia product selected in the 10th round in 2011, Wilson made his major league debut with the Orioles on May 20 and his first start May 28. In five big league games, he has a 2.12 ERA, with his last appearance for the Orioles occurring June 19 at Toronto, where he allowed just one run in 5 2/3 innings of relief vs.
