Orioles observations on Tillman looking to stop skid, Gallardo and resting relievers

Once again, the Orioles will depend on right-hander Chris Tillman to get them out of a funk.

They go into this afternoon’s series finale against the Oakland Athletics having lost the first three games at the Oakland Coliseum, and must win to avoid being swept in a four-game series in Oakland for the first time since August 2004.

Tillman has been this team’s stopper, pulling the Orioles out of other losing streaks this season. But Tillman will be making his fourth attempt at his 15th win of the season. Last month, he seemed like a cinch for 20 wins.
