Orioles notes: Surgery a possibility for Trumbo; Castro meets idol; Wilkerson activated from DL

Orioles designated hitter/outfielder Mark Trumbo was receiving additional input on how to move forward with his balky right knee Tuesday, and undergoing surgery that would likely end his season is among the possibilities.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter said before Tuesday’s game that Trumbo, who went on the disabled list Monday with what the team called right knee inflammation, said the club was still waiting for more information regarding Trumbo.
