Nolan Reimold's lawyers have filed a lawsuit against Johns Hopkins Hospital on charges that the Orioles outfielder suffered serious injuries as a result of negligent medical care he got at the hospital.
Reimold underwent surgery for a herniated disk in 2012 at Hopkins. He blames his neurosurgeon Ziya Gokaslan for releasing him without any activity restrictions on Jan. 10, 2013 even though he had not fully recovered from the 2012 surgery. As a result, Reimold was forced to undergo an additional repair surgery on July 22, 2013, and he missed the remainder of 2013 season.
In 2015, the Orioles signed Reimold to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training.
