Orioles left-hander Zac Lowther, last year's second-round pick, earned organizational minor league pitcher of the month honors for his standout April, while the team split the position player honors between Triple-A Norfolk catcher Andrew Susac and Delmarva outfielder Zach Jarrett.
Of all the standout performers in the Delmarva rotation this year, Lowther has been the most impressive. He's fanned 39 against three walks with a 0.55 WHIP in 22 innings, posting a 1.23 ERA that ranks fourth-best in the South Atlantic League. No one in the league has struck out more batters or posted a lower WHIP.
