Orioles minors recap 7/29: Rogers sharp in O’s org. debut

Cedric Mullins led off the game with a double and eventually scored and things just kept getting better for the Tides. Despite 1-10 hitting with runners in scoring position, they still pushed five runs across. Erstwhile Oriole Pedro Alvarez was 3-4 with a home run and drove in two runs as well.

This game marked the O’s organization debut for Josh Rogers, who was acquired in the Zach Britton trade. The 24-year-old lefty sparkled in his first Tides start, keeping the Mud Hens off the board across seven innings in which he allowed only three hits and three walks.
