The Tides were supposed to play two games Tuesday. Instead, they played zero, as rain made the Harbor Park field unplayable. Now they’ll have to play four games in two days, with back-to-back doubleheaders Wednesday and Thursday.
The Tides will be getting a boost to their roster soon, as the Zach Britton trade to the Yankees was finalized late Tuesday night. Two of the pitching prospects in the deal, lefty starter Josh Rogers and righty reliever Cody Carroll, have been assigned to Norfolk. The headliner of the trade, right-handed starter Dillon Tate, will report to Bowie.
