Orioles minors recap 5/17: Renato Núñez has a big debut for the Tides

Norfolk nearly rescued defeat from the jaws of victory. They led 3-0 for most of the game until a disastrous ninth inning from Andrew Faulkner and Matt Wotherspoon allowed Indianapolis to tie things with an RBI single and two-run homer.

Prior to the bullpen malfunction, Yefrey Ramirez was really, really good. Over seven scoreless innings, he gave up just one hit and one walk while striking out seven. The righty certainly seems to be near the top of the list to come to Baltimore when/if a spot start is needed anytime soon.

The newest member of the Orioles organization, Renato Núñez, drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth.
