It was a notable game for two guys at the top of the Baysox lineup who we’ve become familiar with — Cedric Mullins and Austin Hays. Mullins went 3-5 with a double and a pair of runs scored, while Hays hit his third home run of the season, a two-run shot in the top of the ninth.
This was a nice bounce-back outing for starter Keegan Akin, who tossed seven innings of one-run ball. He allowed just four hits, not walking a single batter and striking out seven Flying Squirrels. That’s a good night for a guy who could use to string together some impressive outings.
