It was a full night of baseball for the Orioles minor-league system. That doesn’t mean it was the best night down on the farm, but the single-A teams made it manageable.
Gwinnett Braves 2, Norfolk Tides 0
Mike Wright worked six innings, giving up just two earned runs in the loss. He overcame seven hits and two walks, striking out four and stranding runners when it counted. He kept the Tides in the ballgame, but the offense never seemed to show up to the park.
Corban Joseph notched a pair of hits, a single and double, but that’s all that was to be had for the Tides on this night.
