Bowie Baysox 6, Portland (Red Sox) 1
Remember last year’s Rule 5 experiment, Jason Garcia? He’s been in the Bowie rotation all year and he has had his share of troubles, but Thursday’s game wasn’t one of them. Garcia blanked the Sea Dogs for six innings, giving up five hits and three walks while striking out six batters. That lowers his season ERA to 4.95.
It was a hit parade for Bowie, however. Four of Bowie’s starting hitters had multi-hit games, including a 2-5 from Chance Sisco.
