Orioles minors 5/11: Affiliates go 1-2, Norfolk's disaster season continues

Norfolk and Bowie continued their tough seasons with losses, but Frederick was able to avoid a sweep thanks to a strong start from John Means.

Charlotte jumped out to a 5-0 lead after just two innings, but Tides starter Nick Additon managed to get through the brutal start and pitch into the sixth. He ended up allowing six runs (four earned) in 5.2 innings. Richard Rodriguez allowed a run in two innings, and Chaz Roe finished out the game by retiring all four batters he faced. Christian Walker did most of the damage for Norfolk with a 3-run homer, and Trey Mancini added a solo shot.
