A late comeback put Delmarva on top, but the other two Orioles affiliates lost their games on Wednesday, though Triple-A starter Zach Davies at least had a nice outing on paper.
Gwinnett (Braves) 3, Norfolk Tides 2
The Tides carried a 2-1 lead into the eighth inning but that did not last. Reliever Chris Jones had pitched the seventh inning and came back out for the eighth. He faced five batters in that inning, retired none, with two of them scoring and sending Norfolk to the 3-2 score that was final. Somewhere in this sequence, Tides manager Ron Johnson was ejected.
