Down on the Orioles farm Friday, a couple of first basemen had good nights. Christian Walker's three-run home run was almost enough for Norfolk to come back, and at Bowie, Trey Mancini racked up another three hits.
The Eddie Gamboa experiment had another misfire of a night. The knuckleballing Gambler gave up six runs in only 4.1 innings of work - and he might have been lucky to give up only that few runs because he gave up six hits and a whopping six walks in that time. Come on, man.
Norfolk tried to rally late, with a three-run home run by Christian Walker pulling them within a run, but it was too little, too late.
