Some guys are just made to hit in Triple-A, and several former big leaguers on the Tides did so on Friday. Elsewhere, Trey Mancini hit another homer for Bowie, because he was born to destroy the Eastern League.
A quartet of erstwhile big leaguers punished the Gwinnett pitching staff for two hits apiece - David Lough, Christian Walker, Nolan Reimold, and Julio Borbon all showed that they'd like to get themselves back to the majors. Whether they do so with the Orioles is another story. Lough, who tripled and drove in four runs, gets the biggest props.
