A 1-0 game that went 14 innings must have been quite the boring affair. The Tides had their share of scoring chances, but they completely whiffed on every one of them, going 0-15 in at-bats with runners in scoring position. Sheesh. The lack of offense meant there was no support for a strong start made by Michael Bowden, who pitched seven innings of one hit ball, walking two batters and striking out two. The 28-year-old has been both long reliever and spot starter for the Tides and he's put up an impressive 1.32 ERA in his 47.1 innings of work.
