On Labor Day, Norfolk decided to work an extra inning. The result was a 7-6, walkoff victory of the visiting Charlotte Knights. The Tides bunted the free base runner over to third, and Jack Reinheimer won the game with a base hit. Reinheimer, a 27-year-old infielder, has hit just .240 in 105 games at Norfolk this season.
Reinheimer finished 3-5 with two RBIs from the nine-hole. Rylan Bannon and Ademar Rifaela also finished with two hits, and Rifaela drove in two runs himself.
Ryan Mountcastle, who you will not be seeing in Baltimore this season, finished 2-4 and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.
