Norfolk starter Kyle Bradish was on point last night. He struck out eight batters over five innings and allowed an unearned run, which was the result of a fielding error by Mason McCoy in the third.
The Tides did all of their scoring late in the game. Rylan Bannon hit a solo home run in the seventh inning to tie the game at one. After Jacksonville retook the lead in the top of the eighth, Norfolk got an RBI single from Tyler Nevin in the bottom half of the inning to tie the score at two.
A scoreless ninth sent the game into extras.
