After allowing four runs in the top of the first, Norfolk did its best to keep up with three runs of their own. Jacksonville proceeded to score seven more runs in the game, but the Tides never added another run.
Cody Sedlock took the brunt of the damage with nine runs over two innings. Sure, only seven of the runs were earned, but the former first-round pick certainly hoped for better when he took the mound yesterday afternoon. Sedlock walked four, struck out three and allowed a pair of homers in the abridged start.
Konner Wade allowed just one run over four innings, and Cesar Valdez added two scoreless frames.
