Aberdeen was the only Orioles affiliate in action last night, and they made sure Baltimore’s farm teams went undefeated. The IronBirds scored the first three, and held off a ninth-inning rally to clinch a 5-3 victory.
Gray Fenter pitched the first five innings for Aberdeen and picked up his third win of the season. Fenter (3-3) allowed only one run on four hits. The lone run came via a solo home run in the third inning. Fenter struck out five and walked two batters. The 22-year-old missed all of 2016 due to Tommy John surgery. He’s struggled at times this season, and currently holds a 5.
