Norfolk made a late push in this game, scoring two runs in the eighth inning to pull within one, but it was not enough to overcome the Stripers.
Left-hander Josh Rogers, making his second start for Norfolk since being acquired from the Yankees, took the loss last night. He allowed five runs (three earned) on seven hits, one walk and four strikeouts over six innings. It was a step down from his first start for the Tides, when went seven scoreless innings.
