Brandon Young started for the Tides and struck out 10 batters in 4.2 innings. He allowed two runs on just three hits. The leadoff batter in the game, Roman Anthony, homered. After that hit, Young retired nine of the next 10 batters to get into the fourth inning. In the fourth he walked a batter followed by an RBI double.
The Tides blew a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth but came back in the bottom of the inning to score three runs and get the win. Jean Segura and Liván Soto knocked in the eighth-inning runs.
