Norfolk’s pitchers struggled to keep the Red Sox at bay and the offense couldn’t back them up as Tides lost a high-scoring contest. Worcester took an early 3-0 lead thanks to an RBI single in the first and a two-run HR in the second. Norfolk would fight back to take the lead thanks to a big inning in the third. With two outs and the bases loaded, Nick Maton ripped a double into right field to drive home two and cut Worcester’s lead to one. TT Bowens immediately followed that with a double of his own, driving home two more runs and giving Norfolk a 4-3 lead.
