This was a close game until the 8th inning until when the RailRiders scored four runs off of relief pitcher Michael Kelly. Kelly only recorded one out, so you could say it was a bad game for him. That was after starter John Means turned in a solid but unspectacular start, giving up two runs on seven hits in 5.2 innings.
The Tides picked up 11 hits in the game but thanks to a 2-for-16 with runners in scoring position couldn’t take a lead. Breyvic Valera led the way with three hits, including a double. Pedro Alvarez and Luis Sardinas both went 2-for-4 with a double.
