The MLB AL and NL Futures played to an eight-inning tie as the NL scored two in the fourth on a pair of singles off the Erie Seawolves’ Matt Manning, and the AL roared back in the seventh when the Rangers’ Sam Huff crushed a 418-foot home run to tie it up.
Now, the news you’ve all been waiting for. DL Hall and Grayson Rodriguez both pitched, and admirably. Hall tossed a scoreless third and avoided injury after a broken bat struck him. Hall’s fastball topped out at 97.9 mph. Grayson Rodriguez pitched a clean eighth.
