Brett Cumberland picked up two hits in three at-bats, including his fourth home run of the season, but a run in the sixth and three in the seventh allowed the Bulls to erase a 2-0 deficit and pick up the win.
Tyler Nevin, the organization’s 22nd-ranked prospect, went 2-for-4 with a run, and Malquin Canelo had two hits as well with an RBI. Canelo, Nevin and Chance Sisco had doubles, and Kyle Bradish had an impressive start on the mound, going five scoreless innings while striking out eight and allowing four hits and four walks.
Double-A: Hartford (Rockies) Yard Goats 13, Bowie Baysox 11
Adley Rutschman went deep again for his eighth home run of the season, but unfortunately for the Baysox pretty much everyone else at Dunkin’ Donuts Park did too, and they ended up on the wrong end of a slugfest.
