The Tides got three home runs and tried to rally back into the game with two runs in the eighth, but fell short in a home loss to the Bulls.
Nick Ciuffo, Ramon Urias (two RBI) and Tyler Nevin (two hits) had the homers, while Ryan McKenna doubled and No. 16 prospect Jahmai Jones walked three times and scored a run.
Alexander Wells, the organization’s 17th-ranked prospect, pitched 4.1 innings and allowed four runs while striking out five.
Double-A: Akron (Cleveland) RubberDucks 3, Bowie Baysox 2
Grayson Rodriguez did his thing yet again, tossing five innings while allowing two runs on two hits (both home runs) and striking out eight, but the Baysox, even after a late rally, still ended up on the wrong end of the score on Sunday.
