Chayce McDermott had some trouble with the long ball in this one. He gave up two home runs over his 5.2 innings, which inflated his line to four runs on five hits, two walks, and eight strikeouts. Nolan Hoffman tossed 1.1 scoreless innings of relief, and Matt Krook managed to emerge from his lone inning unscathed despite walking three.
Anthony Servideo hit his first Triple-A homer, a solo shot in the fifth inning. Norfolk scored twice more in the sixth on an RBI single from Daniel Johnson and a sac fly from Maverick Handley, but they would get no more.
