Orioles minor league recap 6/18: Leyba and Jones keep hitting, Mickey Jannis makes first start, O’s affiliates sweep the day

Mickey Jannis made his first start of the season and did not disappoint. The knuckleballer allowed two runs on six hits and one walk. He struck out three and gave up a solo home run in the second inning. The outing brought his season ERA to 2.92 through 24.2 innings.

Domingo Leyba tallied his fourth home run since joining the organization earlier this month. Leyba is now hitting .344 with a 1.121 OPS. In case you missed it, I wouldn’t mind seeing Leyba with the Orioles right now.

Baltimore could also turn to prospect Jahmai Jones for help at second base.
