Orioles minor league recap 5/17: Escarra’s walk-off, Rutschman’s bomb highlight big day in Bowie

Former Orioles starter Thomas Eshelman had a tough start Sunday, allowing four runs (all earned) on five hits in three innings as the Tides fell behind 4-0 in the third inning and couldn’t rally back.

Norfolk did have the bats going, pounding out 12 hits en route to its six runs. Stevie Wilkerson led the way with a 3-for-3 afternoon while scoring three times, and Mason McCoy went 3-for-5 with a triple and two RBI. Rylan Bannon went 2-for-5 with a double, and Austin Wynns had a 2-for-5 afternoon as well.
