The Tides managed to squander a 6-0 lead thanks to an unsteady outing from starter Kyle Brnovich (4.2 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 6 K) and a pair of bad relief outings. Brnovich allowed a fair amount of traffic on the bases over the first two innings, then a two-run homer in the fifth. The relievers’ outings were mixed, as well: Roansy Contreras allowed a two-run HR, and Corbin Martin let in three runs on a walk and three hits, including a two-run triple. Nick Richmond faced three batters and hit one, walked another, and struck out a third.
